William Beaune

William ‘Bill’ Beaune, passed away at his home in Kinross, Michigan on Tuesday May 6, 2014. Survived by his loving Children and Love of his life , his wife Gloria (Nalett). He was born at home on the family farm in Brimley, Michigan on April 13, 1937 to Edward and Lottie (McPhee) Beaune. Over the course of his life he worked at the railroad, forest service, bartended at the Cozy Inn and at Ted Caffey’s Chevy garage in Sault Ste. Marie. He left Brimley to move to Lansing and worked at General Motors as a welder for 33 years. After he retired he moved back up to the U.P. where he made his home. He married the love of his life and best friend 51 years ago on July 7th 1962 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Lansing. They raised 4 children that was the delight of his life. Denise (Mark Vierk) Thocker; Charlotte Anderson; Kimberly (Adrian) Arnold and William W. Beaune. A very special Niece Gina (Dan) Putnam. The lights of his life that provide him with endless pride, his 6 grandchildren Todd Anderson II; Alexis Arnold; Alyssa Arnold; Taylor Thocker; Sydney Beaune and Shane Beaune. They provided endless joy in his life by going on trips, watching their sports and enjoying their life with Nana and Papa. He is from a family of 10 kids. He is survived by his brothers Gene Beaune; Joe Beaune and Tom (Linda) Beaune; a sister Anna Schepp; sisters-in-law Jean Beaune and Terry Beaune. Brother-in-law Larry (Elaine) Nalett. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great and great great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Edward and Lottie Beaune; brothers Edward Beaune; Phillip Beaune and Victor Beaune; sisters Margaret Tracey and Theresa Comiskey; niece Roxanne Beaune and nephews Wesley Beaune and Mickey Beaune. Bill was a kind man and loved by all who knew him. He was an active member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Rudyard and a 3rd degree member of the Knights of Columbus. Visitation will be held 9:00am until 11:00am Saturday May 10, 2014 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Rudyard, Michigan. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00am Saturday May 10, 2014 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Father Joseph Vandannoor as Celebrant. A luncheon will follow at the church before the Rite of Committal at the Lakeview Cemetery in Kinross, Michigan. Memorials to the Hospice of the E.U.P. or St. Joseph’s Catholic Church would be appreciated. Clark Bailey Newhouse Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
