Beverly Ann Rosing

Beverly Ann Rosing, age 82, of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, formerly of Stalwart and Pickford, Michigan, died Friday, April 6, 2018, in Sault Ste. Marie. She was born August 14, 1935, in Stalwart to Robert George and Margaret Wilson (McLeod) Crawford. Beverly grew up in Stalwart and graduated from Pickford High School in 1953. She married Robert Elwood Carl Rosing on November 14, 1953, at the Pickford Presbyterian Church. While Robert served in the military, they made their home and raised their four children in Wichita, Kansas; Stalwart; Sacramento, California; Kassel, Germany; Minot, North Dakota; and Selfridge ARB, Michigan, before returning to Stalwart. Once back in Stalwart, Beverly worked doing housekeeping at the Les Cheneaux Club in Cedarville, Michigan, until she retired. Beverly was a member of the Law-White VFW Post #7958 Auxiliary in Hessel where she served proudly as a Banner Bearer. She was also a member of the Stalwart Presbyterian Church. Beverly was an avid Michigan State University basketball fan. She enjoyed going to the casino, dancing the polka, watching Wheel of Fortune, flower gardening, her cats, and most of all, spending time with her family. Beverly is survived by her children, Robert R.R. Rosing of Adrian, Michigan, Margaret “Peggy” (Al) Simpson of Pickford, William “Bill” (Cathy) Rosing of Wyomissing, Pennsylvania, and Cherie (Rob) Rye of Pickford; grandchildren, Sara (Eric) Johnston, Kelly Jones, Nikki Storey, Don Ray “Pete” (Alisa) Bennett, Lana (Bill) Spence, Will (Shawnna) Storey, Kala Rosing, Zach (Leah) Rosing, Robert “Bobby” Rye, Jacob Rosing, Cristiana Berger, Jessica Bernatos, and Mimi Rayshich; great grandchildren, Mackenzie (Jordan Morningstar) LaPorta, Trevor Jones-Hirr, Carter Jones-Hirr, Christopher Vagts, Blaine Vagts, Raymond Bailey, Logan Johnston, Ariel Storey, Josh Bennett, Nora Bennett, Max Ciccariello, and Katherine Bernatos; and great great-grandchild, Jordan Morningstar Jr. She is also survived by one sister, Margaret Green of West Branch, Michigan; sisters-in-law, Alice Crawford of Skidway Lake, Michigan, Mildred Kryzcki of Sault Ste. Marie, Helen Johnson of Garner, North Carolina, Annabel (Gregg) Pleasants of Tumwater, Washington, and Janet Andrews of Tennessee; many nieces and nephews; and lifelong friend, Nona McCord of Stalwart. Beverly was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert E.C. Rosing; great granddaughter, Ava Annmarie Jones; grandson-in-law, Andrew Jones; sisters, Gail Munro and Donna (Roger) Piche; brothers, Albert Crawford; Thomas (Mert) Crawford, and William Crawford; and brother-in-law, Corky Green. Visitation will be held at R. Galer Funeral Home, 24549 S. M-129 in Pickford, on Tuesday, April 10 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. and Wednesday, April 11, from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. The funeral service will be at the funeral home at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 11. Pastor Scout Hester will conduct the service. Burial will be in Stalwart Cemetery in the spring.
