Mary Jane St.Louis

Mary Jane St.Louis, 87 of St.Ignace passed away Sunday afternoon February 21 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in ST.Ignace on August 28,1928 to Edward and Maida (Ivers) Quinn.. Mary Jane graduated from the Ursuline Academy in St.Ignace in 1947. She married Stanley St.Louis on November 3,1948 at St.Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church. He died in 1968. She was well known in St.Ignace as one of the Quinn girls.After her children were raised she worked for the Mackinac County Clerks office a couple years, then was appointed 92nd District Court Magistrate in 1970, and worked until 1990. She was very active in St.Ignatius Catholic Church and St. Ann's Altar Society. She will be missed by her family for her humor and strong family compassion, and was committed to her faith. She is survived by her family; James and Cheryl St.Louis, Beaverton, MI; John and Sue St.Louis, ST.Ignace; Joe and Colleen St.Louis, St.Ignace; Jeff St.Louis, Royal Oak; Janie and Ken Gillmore, ST.Ignace; Jill and Bruce Williams, Williamsburg; Judy (Billee Scott) St.Louis, St.Ignace; one sister, Josephine Lennon, Santa Barbara, CA.; 16 grandchildren; Katrina and Jason Schwark; Bridget Hawks and Ben Allen; Maggie and Alvara Diaz; Curtis St.Louis; Austin St.Louis; Kenny and Angie Gillmore; Nicole St.Louis; Michael and Jodi St.Ignace; Taylor St.Louis; Mary Jane St.Louis; Zach Alexander; Matt Alexander; Brad and Samantha Alexander; great grandchildren; Averi Hawks; Carson Hawks; Wayland Gillmore, Hudson St.Louis; Caleigh St.Louis and Parker Alexander. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley;and sister, Margaret Lecount. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, February 23 at 11 am at St.Ignatis Loyola Catholic Church with Fr. Frank Ricca and Deacon Tom McClelland officiaing. Visitation will be one hour before Mass. Burial will be in St.Ignatius Cemetery in May. Memorials may be directed to the St.Anns Altar Society or the Church with envelopes available from Dodson Funeral Home,St.Ignace who assisted with arrangements. Pallbeares will be her 4 grandsons, Ken Gillmore Jr.; Brad Gillmore; Austin St.Louis and Curtis St.Louis.
