Karen Murray

For anyone who knew Karen Murray, who passed away suddenly on February 8, 2019, her celebration of life will be held on June 17, between 1:30 and 4:30 pm at 2164 East 12mile Rd. This is the Reilly family home and Karen will be laid to rest in the Reilly Family Cemetery. We hope you have a moment in your day to come and share your memories of Karen with the family. We miss her deeply.Karen Lorraine Murray, 63 or 64 (no one ever quite knew), went home to be with her heavenly Father and earthly Daddy in the early morning hours of Thursday, February 8th, 2018. While her heart was so full of life and love, her physical heart stopped suddenly. She was born August 12th in Marquette, MI to Raymond and Lois (Reed) Reilly, one of a family of 9. She married Bruce Murray of Huntsville, Ont. March 14th, 1981 and spent her life raising 9 children with more love, wisdom and care than ever could be imagined. Her children were her career and her world, and she was their guidance and their world. She was a light on this earth, sunshine through cloudy days and not only gave her love and strength to her own children, but many others as well. She touched so many lives with her smile and gentle love; people who had never had the blessing of meeting her knew she was a beautiful soul because her love and respect of others radiated through her children. Karen is survived by her children: Derek Murray, Jenny Murray, Robin (Bryanna) Murray, Heather Murray (Bradley C), Jayne Murray, Geoffrey Murray (Taylor S), Graham Murray, Andrew Murray, Lawren Murray and their father, Bruce. Grandchildren: Alexander and Jessica Murray. She is also survived by her mother, Lois and her brothers and sisters: Steven Reilly, Brian Reilly, Christine Moore, Diane Possamai, Marianne Sebastian, Raelene Reilly, Susan Kerst and Sean Reilly, with many nephews, nieces and great nephews and nieces. She is preceded in death by her father, Raymond and her grandparents. The family is holding together privately for now and appreciates the love and kindness that has already been shown. A memorial will be held in the spring when the flowers are beginning to bloom and all of life can rejoice in her love. Remembrances can be sent to 2062 E. 12 Mile Rd. S. Ste. Marie, MI. 49783.
