Leeanne Marie Trudo

Leeanne Mare Trudo, age 68, of St. Ignace Michigan, died on April 2, 2020 in St. Ignace. She was born on February 24, 1952 in Carp River, Michigan, to Leonard and Bernis (Cornell) Trudo. Leeanne grew up in Carp River, Michigan, one of nine children. Leeanne graduated from Lasalle High School, she studied at Lake Superior State University. Leeanne spent most of her life working in the restaurant business, she also drove bus for CLM Community Action Head Start. Leeanne spent over 25 years working as a cook/prep cook and manager at the Truck Stop Restaurant and later was co-owner of B & L cafe’ where she was well known for her homemade soups. Besides spending time with her family and her pup, Maggie May, she loved to make people laugh as she was always smiling and witty herself, she also loved to cook but most of all she loved seeing how much people enjoyed what she cooked. She was selfless and was always willing to help someone else even if she went without, she had a humble heart and a surreal spirit. Leeanne did not have any biological children of her own, but she had many nephews and nieces that spent a lot of time with her and shared their secrets that she held on to and never shared with any of their parents, she was well trusted and was loved by each and every one of them. Leeanne was diagnosed with cancer and battled it to the end. During her last week of life, she was lovingly cared for by her family, McLaren Hospice nurses Laura and Kim, and Father Frank with prayers and blessings. Leeanne is survived by her brothers, Richard (Troy) Trudo of Pinconning Michigan, Robert (Joann) Trudo of De Tour Michigan; sisters, Charlene Trudeau of Lansing Michigan, Terri (Steve) Hoath of St. Ignace Michigan, Ronda (Mark) Engle of St. Ignace Michigan, and Cheryl (Jim) Rountree of St. Ignace Michigan. Leeanne was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Howard Trudo and Ronald Trudo; nephew, Ronald Trudo Jr.; sister-in-law, Janet (Lannoo) Trudo; her dog’s companions Samson and Goliath; and her beloved horses, Suzi and Trigger. Leeanne was a member of the Saint Ignatius Loyola parish, where a memorial will be held at a later date, when the pandemic is over, and will be officiated by Father Frank Ricca. Her final resting place will be by her parents at Our Lady of Victory in Carp River Michigan. R. Galer Funeral Home in Pickford, Michigan is serving the family.
