Marilyn Diane Fry-Robbins

Marilyn "Diane" Fry-Robbins, 80 of Mackinaw City passed away at Hiland Cottage Hospice in Petoskey following a short illness.after suffering a stroke. She was b orn May 29,1936 in Marion,Indiana to Horace and Freda (Piper) Lloyd. Diane moved to Mackinaw City in 1962. First she worked for Stemkowski Insurance Agency, eventually building the Big Boy and Mancino's Restaurants. She was a lifetime member of Mackinaw City Womens Club, holding the office of President in 1965, and was a member of the American Legion Auxilary, and also the Carp Lake Womens Club. She worked hard and made many friends during this life. Her final years were made full by volunteering at Wawatam Area Senior Center and the Church of the Straits, She held officer positions in both organizations at the time of her untimely death. Diane is survived by her daughter, Susan (Christian) DeCamillis, Traverse City; grandson, Jason (Kelsey) DeCamillis, Ypsilani; step sons, Michael (Jolene) Robbins, Buckley,MI; Matthew (Karen) Robbins, and grandson, Ross Robbins, Woodstock, ILL; Important is her life were her two younger sisters and families; Jennifer (Charles) Antkoviak, Levering, Mi and their families, nephews Al (Tracy) Antkoviak, Ty and Alex; and Brian (Kathleen) Antkoviak, Emmalee. Nancy (Roy) Lee, Fla, niece Annette (Kurt) Feneley; nephews Joe (Janet) Nelson and Dan (Geraldine) Nelson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Al Robbins. A Memorial service will be on Sunday, November 13 at Mackinaw City Church of the Straits at 2 pm with Pastor David Wallis officiating. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 pm at the church. A luncheon will follow in the church Fellowship Hall. The family would like to acknowledge the health and caregivers at McLaren Northern Michigan Hospital and Hiland Cottage.
