Marie Louise Collins

Marie Louise (Demour) Collins passed away in her 86th year on January 13th, 2023. She was born in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada to the late Fred and Mary nee Tucker Demour. The people who knew her called her "Louise". In her lifetime she lived in different parts of the U.S. and in Germany. Of all the places she lived, she loved the beauty and climate of the Southwest United States the most. Louise was an excellent homemaker and a hard worker. She was a caring mother and grandmother and was always there when you needed her. Her greatest joy came from being with her children and grandchildren. Louise was married to the late Harry E. Collins and is survived by her children: Michael (Cirra) Collins, Michelle (Delbert) Anderson, Terry (Kristin) Collins, Mary Ann (Michael) Jurczenko. Grandchildren: Jennifer (Pete Soppelsa) Anderson, Melanie (Jonas Kong) Anderson-Kong, Mark (Mary Cronley) Collins, Catherine (Chris) Person, Breana (Josh) McCoy, Jacob (Kristin Broeders) Collins, and Bailey Collins. Great Grandchildren: Felix Soppelsa, Landon and Liam Kong, Caden and Christina Person, and Luke and Olivia McCoy. Louise is also survived by brother John (Linda) Demour, best friend and sister-in-law Darla (Donald) Demour of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, and Brother-in-law Dan (Anita) Collins of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Louise is preceded in death by her husband Harry in 2015, her siblings: Billy Demour, Joseph Demour, Sally Krmpotich, Leona (Brian) Casselman, Donald Demour all of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, and PatriciaSwanson of Iron River, Michigan and brothers-in-law Danny Krmpotich and Jack Swanson. According to Louise's wishes, no public services will be held at this time. Arrangements are in the care of C.S. Mulder Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Her remains will be laid to rest alongside her husband at Oaklawn Chapel Gardens. Louise's family would like to thank the caring staff of EUP Home Health & Hospice for their assistance in carrying out her final wishes.
