Marjorie A. Nettleton

Marjorie Alice Nettleton heard the words "well done thou good and faithful servant.....enter in to the joy of the Lord" Matthew 25:21 on January 12, 2011 at Tendercare. Her beloved husband of 63 years faithfully by her side during her last days on earth. Marge was born April 5, 1927 to Morris and Jentena (Hoolsma) Kamper in Rudyard, MI. She married Barney Nettleton on October 15, 1947 at her parents home in a double ceremony with her sister Gertrude marrying Barney's brother Glen. Marge enjoyed serving the Lord and taking care of others. She worked hard raising her 7 children and helped raise many other children through foster care. She always had a kind and gentle way about her. She loved the outdoors and her garden. She was a supporter of Special Olympics. She was actively involved in her Church, where she played piano and organ. She helped with the Awana program and helped many children get there each week. Marge is survived by her husband: Barney Nettleton; 7 children, 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandsons. Loreen (Ron) Case of Becker, MN with sons Brett (Lynn) Case, and granddaughter Merceddes, Chuck Case with grandchildren Cody and Brittney Case. Rodney (Chris) Nettleton of Holt, MI with son Tim (Betsy) Nettleton and Tony (Kayoko) with grandchildren Corrinne and William. Stanley (Joanie) Nettleton of Balsam Grove, NC with children Tabitha (Chuck) Newell and sons Joey, Billy, Donnie, great grandsons Jake and Levi, Stanley V. (Ashley) Nettleton with grandchildren Johannah and Noah Tina (Jason) Green with grandchildren Taylor, James Alexis. Jane Duschen of Lockport, NY, with daughter Danielle (Denny) Jarrell with grandchildren Drake, Daryl, Dakota. Joyce (Cesar) Hernandez of Stillwater, MN with daughter Zoe. Samuel (Jan) Nettleton of Dafter, MI with children Sam (Paula) Nettleton with grandchildren Jenny, Wade, Tyler and Bradley Amanda (Dave) Nettleton with grandchildren Marcus, Carley, Sebastian, Jeremiah Nettleton. Russel David Nettleton of Pickford, MI. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers: James and Melvin Kamper; three sisters: Gertrude Nettleton, Alice Stejskal, Annette Ball; and an infant grandson: Lucas Nettleton. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at C.S. Mulder Funeral Home with Pastor Floyd Lamoreaux officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until the time of the service. Burial will be at Rockview Cemetery later this spring. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to Carenet Pregnancy Center.
