Patti Lynn Wyatt

Patti Wyatt, 68 of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan passed away at the Robert and Helen Ball Hospice House of the EUP in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan on February 12, 2016. Patti was born on April 7, 1947 in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan to Neale and Barbara (Haag) Wyatt. In 1966 Patti married Stanley (Sandy) Badenski. During their 20 year marriage they had two children, Dan-ielle and Brent. As a youngster, Patti was involved in the Hiawatha Skating Club for many years. Patti was also voted Home-coming Queen in high school. It has been related by many people that attended high school with Patti that "she was nice to everyone...no matter who you were or where you came from." That proved to be true throughout her life. In later years, Patti served as a treasurer for the Class of '65 reunion committee. Patti really wanted to see as many of the classmates together as possible for their 50th reunion this past summer. It involved a little arm twisting and maybe a little guilt trip or two for some, but it worked and she was able to attend and see the good time had by all. Patti also served as treasurer for the union for several years at LSSU, where Patti enjoyed a 20 year career. The first 14 years she spent in the food service office and the last 6 years in the athletic office, where she touched the lives of many students and colleagues. Patti had a smile that if you ever saw it, you would definitely remember it and she had one for everyone she met. She so loved spending time with her children, grand-children, great-grandchildren, family and friends. She also enjoyed reading, cross-stitching, crafting, bike riding, gardening, but hated cooking. Patti is survived by her daughter Danielle (Chris Johnson) Bartunek of Belfair Washington, her son Brent Ba-denski of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. Her grandchildren, Greg (Cassie Komarnizki) Lipponen of Alpena, Michigan, Roger (Jenna) Lipponen of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, Brent (Carrie Oja) Lipponen of Bismarck, North Dakota, Jordan (Dustin Bullman) Lipponen and Brooklynn Lipponen of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. Her great-grandchildren, Mason and Cole Garlinghouse and Harper Lipponen of Alpena, Michigan and Aubrey Lipponen of Bismarck, North Dakota. Her brothers David (Susan) Wyatt of Dafter, Michigan, Steve (Barb) Wyatt of Grass Lake, Michigan, her sister Melody (Bud) LeGallee of Hessel, Michigan, brothers-in-law Richie (Terri) Badenski and Scott (Pauline) Badenski and sister-in-law Peggy (Dennis) Campbell all of Sault Ste. Marie, Michign. Dear friend Darlene (John) Warren of Sault Ste. Marie and many nieces and nephews as well as an incredible group of friends. Preceding her in death are her parents, Neale and Barbara Wyatt, her in-laws Stan and Margaret Badenski, ex-husband Colin Wyatt and brother-in-law Rick Edward Sr. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at C.S. Mulder Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Cash officiating. Friends may gather at the funeral home from 12:00 Noon until the time of the service. Burial will be at Pine Grove Cemetery later this spring.
