Robert J. Parady

Robert Joseph Parady passed away on Monday, May 26, 2014. Robert “Bob” was born on February 6, 1928 in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan to Edward and Nell Parady. Bob was a retired sheet metal worker, employed by Elliott Sheet Metal of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. During his retirement, Bob could be found sharpening skates at the Pullar Stadium for the Skate Care Center. Bob enjoyed the outdoor life, especially hunting and fishing. He could always be found being the proud Grandfather at his grandchildren’s sporting events as well as enjoying great grandchildren near and far. They were the light of his life. Bob enjoyed large family gatherings and sitting on the St. Mary’s River overlooking the boating traffic during the summer months. Bob always shared words of wisdom with his family members and also had a great sense of humor. He was a gentle, kind-hearted man and will be missed by many. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Nell Parady; Grandson, Robert Ronald Vert, Granddaughter, Karri Sue Brown; Brothers, Donald Parady, Edward (Sonny) Parady and James Parady; Sisters, Patricia McNeal and Florence Feuerlin. Bob is survived by his loving wife, Emma (Graham) Parady; daughters, Terri (John) Ferroni, Roberta Parady (Carl Anderson), Kay (Randy) Elliott, Debra (Michael) Montero, and Marjorie (Howard) Malm; grandchildren Philip and Emily Ferroni, Steven (Lindsay), Jason and Bryan Spring, Renee (Chris) Heater, Ryan (Ashlee) Vert, Alicia Peters (Robert Vert), Staci Brown, David Montero, Jessica (Anthony) Malm-Fitzgerald; Great Grandchildren Evan and Blake Spring, Kyle Lester, Maximus and Jenna Montero, Jackson and Taylor Heater, Landon, Weston & Rylee Vert, and Levi Vert, Christopher and Elysium Peters; Sisters, Dorothy Rose, Pauline Solomon; Brothers Arthur Parady, John (Jackie) Parady as well as many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2014 from 5-7 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. at Clark Bailey Newhouse Funeral Home, 113 Maple Street, Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 30, 2014 at 12:30 p.m. at Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church, 377 Maple Street, Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. Burial service will follow immediately at Oaklawn Chapel Gardens.
