Mech. Sheet metal cont. president; Michigan Chapter Sheet metal Cont. President; Sheet Metal & A.C. Cont. Association National Board of Directors; Elks Lodge #552; Moose Lodge; was an avid sportsman; woodworker; community servant and grandfather; One of the major highlites of his career was the successful search for an elderly lady lost in the clay bank''s area for about 5 days he flew every day looking for her and finally found her alive and well the spotters in the plane were Herb Swan and Sheriff Leroy Case. He circled over her directing the rescue teams along with a helicopter to her location for transportation to War Memorial Hospital. SURVIVED BY: 3 Sons William G. Elliott, II; Keith (Mary) Elliott; Charles (Kim) Elliott. 1 Daughter Sharal Williams 1 Sister Marilyn (Mike) Kravis 1 Brother Harry Elliott Former Wife Elta Grandchildren Amanda, Kelly, Stacey, Connor, Brendan, Aubrey, D.J. and Chris Great Grandchildren Noah, Collin and Daniel. Also Survived by a longtime Friend Jan Sinnaeve Visitation: 5:00pm until 8:00pm Tuesday June 8, 2010 at Clark Bailey Newhouse Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial: 10:30am Wednesday June 9, 2010 at St. Joseph''s Catholic Church. With Father Piotr Zaczynski as Celebrant. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery with a luncheon following at the Elk''s Lodge on Portage Avenue following. Memorial Contributions: to the Elks Lodge #552 would be appreciated.
