Fannie Ellen Drummond

Fannie Ellen Drummond, 86 of Raber, Michigan, died January 28, 2019 at her home on Point Aux Frenes. Fannie was born January 27, 1933, to Orville Yoakem and Vergie Ethel McMurtry in Pike County, Ohio. Fannie grew up in Springfield, Ohio, where her father worked for International Harvester. She married William Drummond in 1949 and they made their home in Springfield where they raised their six children. When the kids were grown up, they started traveling to Raber in the winter when Bill was not doing contracting work, to ice fish and snowmobile. They moved to Raber in 1993 and Bill continued doing construction in their neighborhood. Bill died in 2000 and Fannie continued to live in their home in Raber. Fannie loved to fish and snowmobile and always enjoyed growing a flower garden. Fannie is survived by her children, Sherry Yvonne (Ronald) Roberts of New Carlisle, Ohio, William Dale Drummond of Conover, Ohio, Peggy Sue Hall of Everglade City, Florida, Gary Orville (Reba) Drummond of Central, South Carolina, and Debbie Drummond of Urbana, Ohio; grandchildren, Donnie Roberts, Billie Jo (Jerri) Shadoan, Steve (Bambi Ankrom) Roberts, Kelly (Chris) Graves, Christopher (Sue) Zerkle, Curtis Zerkle, Becky Duncan, Kansie (Drew) Hitzeroth, Adam (Cassie) Drummond, Tim (Sarah) Drummond, Nikki (David Shoup) Niswonger, Matthew (Gar Min Chan) Smith, and Lynsie Smith; and great grandchildren, Matthew, Ashley, Taylor, Garrett, Makala, Anna, Bethany, Charity, Deborah, Esther, Cameron, Caden, Aiden, Parker, Jace, Jackson, Katie, Levi, Karli, Phillip, Katherine, Hazel, Jaelyn, Macie, Lilu, and Cole. Fannie is also survived by brothers and sisters, Edward Yoakem of Seffner, Florida, Norma Pidcock of Conover, Ohio, Linda Sue Helsel of Springfield, Ohio, and Larry Dean Yoakem of Clifton, Ohio. Fannie was preceded in death by her husband, William Drummond; daughter, Jackie Lynn Drummond; son-in-law, Jerry Hall; great grandchildren, Cody Zerkle and Gary Adam Drummond; sisters, Thelma Tillman and Ethel Sellman; and brothers, Carl Yoakem and Jack Yoakem Services will be held Friday, February 8, at Jones Kenney Zechman Funeral Home, 1002 East High Street, in Springfield. Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 P.M. Burial will be in Vernon Asbury Cemetery in Springfield.
